One of the first project I have been working on in NEWLIONS Digital Agency was the re-design of the réunionese news website ImazPress, along with its mobile app.

The most challenging part of this project was to organize the constant flow of new posts both in the back-office (which was handled by the agency’s custom CMS) and visually, as they came from different sources — internal, external and by submission — in different categories, with varying levels of importance and of course in a very large volume.

The mobile app was using the same database but had to be more compact design-wise. While the desktop version of ImazPress could afford to be reasonably loaded with content, its mobile counterpart had to be designed with a vertical single-column navigation in mind. The navigation between sections and categories was then moved to a bottom bar menu and a “hamburger” menu.

Accesibility features were added in the form of a night-reading mode and control over the app’s font size.
