Day 6/353

View of the Shard
A view of the shard, UK’s highest building (on the right).

I arrived in London on 8/9 after a thirteen-hour-long flight from Reunion to Paris and one more hour in the plane from Paris.

This eighteen hour stay (of which eight hours of sleep) was a nice glimpse of the capital city. I will most likely be back there as soon as I can.

I took the train to Nottingham the day after, 9/9 at 10:15 AM from St Pancras. I didn’t record the arrival time but I remember it was something around 1 PM.

I will be living here for 48 weeks, in a room that is about 9 845,27 km away from where I have slept during the last fourteen years.

When I’m not spending money at the nearby stores, I walk around the city and try to make familiar with the streets names and look for places I could go if I had friends to hang out with. I visited Nottingham Castle on 10/9.

I love cooking. I’m not particularly talented but I don’t think I’m too bad either. And what I like the most about cooking is eating what I cooked. However I have to be reasonable about my expenses if I don’t want to end up begging for money in front of the Victoria Centre.

Tomorrow will be my first day at Nottingham Trent University.
